Born in western Massachusetts, Elizabeth Kay’s formative years were spent in the performing arts as a dancer and actress. Elizabeth’s design career grew from her love of stage pieces. She went on to work as a stylist for independent films while studying at Academy of Art University, double majoring in fashion design and knitwear. In her academic career Elizabeth was the 1st winner of a knitwear scholarship to study abroad at AUT University, New Zealand and the winner of BCBG Max Azria Group internship award for two consecutive years. Recently Elizabeth was featured as a young designer in Project San Francisco. Now, she is focusing building her designer label.



The Elizabeth Kay label was first founded in early 2013 and based out of Denver, Colorado. Currently manufactured in the U.S., in facilities using high quality materials. The lauch of her first collection is in production and will be release in 2015. Elizabeth is a contemporary designer inspired by art, travel, and music. She specializes in knitwear and outerwear. Her designer label is a combination of understated femininity and rebellion. Elizabeth seeks to bring well made clothing to the modern women. With comfort at its core, Elizabeth creates a fresh silhouette that lends its shape a subtle attitude.
